About Accelerate@Babraham
Our Vision
Our vision is to support and nurture great science - using knowledge and expertise gained over decades of experience - to inform, elevate and empower new life science innovators and entrepreneurs. A collaborative force of knowledge, passion and drive combines to catapult the next generation of science discoveries into the view of today’s investors. A supportive and safe place for life science ventures to start-up and scale-up.

Supporting a Start-up Generation
Starting something new is hard – particularly within the fast-moving life science sector. Step forward Accelerate@Babraham, the Babraham Research Campus’ bio-incubator, founded out of a desire to support and nurture early-stage ventures; bringing to bear an unrivalled network of experts, mentors and investors and data-driven, comprehensive business analysis and support to equip these young enterprises with the skills, confidence and network connections to enable success.
Now in our fifth year and having supported 20 early-stage enterprises to date, Accelerate@Babraham has been recognised as one of the top 25 biotech incubators in Europe (LaBiotech, March 2021). Accelerate@Babraham companies have raised £46.1m, have a current portfolio value estimated over £80m and a total of 88 employees.

Environment for Success
Our Campus community enjoys a strong bond, which many would say is unique. There is a definite ‘pay it forward’ mentality, which we are extremely lucky to be able to harness to great effect across the Accelerate@Babraham initiative. We couldn’t deliver the depth of experience we do without the expertise, dedication and support of so many of our Campus companies and wider in-cluster connections. As a start-up venture there is no better location for exploring your ideas and developing your science.

Tapping into the Babraham Research Campus Ecosystem
The Babraham Research Campus is recognised as one of the best places to start and scale-up a life science business in Europe. The unique co-location of the world-renowned Babraham Institute alongside over 60 commercial science organisations has created an exciting, dynamic and collaborative ecosystem dedicated to supporting and nurturing life science enterprise at all levels.
