Applications open on 13th Jan 2025
Who Can Apply?
Applications are invited from life science start-up companies working in therapeutics, reagents, technology platforms and diagnostics who would benefit from access to fully equipped, serviced lab and office space, business and technical support from practitioners, and the opportunity to expand their network and deeply embed in the outstanding Cambridge life science cluster.
In 2024, we are particularly interested in applications from companies with a focus on renal or cardiometabolic-related diseases, including diabetes, obesity, NASH, chronic kidney disease and cardiovascular disease.
A competitive and rigorous selection process will determine which five companies will make it through. Participants will be selected based on quality of technology/research, technology readiness level, commercialisation readiness level, market need and commitment to the programme. Short-listed applicants will need to succinctly and confidently communicate their idea, its potential impact and their longer-term ambitions at interview to be in with a chance of securing one of the five places on the 2024 programme.

The Power of Partnership
As well as the invaluable strategic and delivery partner support, the wider Babraham Research Campus community also plays a critical role in the success of the programme.
The Campus community enjoys a strong and rather unique bond and there is a definite ‘pay it forward’ mentality, which Accelerate@Babraham is extremely lucky to be able to harness to great effect. The programme would not be able to deliver the year-on-year depth of experience it does without the expertise, dedication and support of so many Campus companies, individuals and wider in-cluster connections.
